When Ashley first reached out to me, her excitement practically leapt off the screen. She and Chris were already planning a stunning Savannah wedding for next year (and trust me, it sounds like it’s going to be a dream), but the idea of waiting that long to be married? Nope. Not happening. These two decided that forever needed to start now, so they eloped at city hall on a sunny Friday in August.

The moment their inquiry popped into my inbox, I knew I had to be part of it. There’s just something about being there at the very beginning of a couple’s marriage journey that feels so special. So we made a plan: courthouse vows in the morning, then a little post-“I do” celebration wandering around the Capitol with nothing but pure joy radiating between them.

And oh my gosh…THE DRESS. Let’s just take a second. Ashley chose the most gorgeous Anthropologie gown, and it was absolute perfection. (Pro tip: Anthropologie always pulls through with the most romantic, effortlessly chic dresses, and this one did not disappoint. 😍)

From the second they walked out of city hall, Ashley and Chris were glowing. You couldn’t have wiped those smiles off their faces if you tried. Photographing them felt like being swept into their happiness, and I’m so glad I was there to capture every laugh, every stolen glance, every “we really just did this!!” moment.

Afterwards, I raced home to edit a few sneak peeks because I knew they were dying to share the news with their families. And let me tell you – the reactions? Pure joy. Their people were just as thrilled as they were.

Cheers to the Walkowskis! 🥂 Here’s to the sweetest start to forever.
