This engagement session was extra special to me for so many reasons, first and foremost because Casey is my cousin, and I had the absolute honor of capturing this season of life for her and Will while we were both down in South Florida for Thanksgiving. Getting to photograph family is always meaningful, but this one truly felt like a full-circle moment.
From the very beginning, this session was giving all the vibes, and Casey and Will absolutely understood the assignment. We originally planned to shoot the evening before, but as we were driving to meet up with the vintage car, it started torrential downpouring. Like, Florida rain that comes out of nowhere and changes all your plans kind of rain. So we pivoted (as you do), knowing those rainy car photos would have to wait for a future Part 2.

Instead, we rescheduled for Thanksgiving morning at sunrise, and honestly…it couldn’t have worked out better! We were greeted with the most beautiful Florida sunrise and the softest, dreamiest light. The calm of the early morning paired with the warmth of the rising sun made the entire session feel effortless and intimate — one of those shoots where everything just clicks.

Casey originally came to me with a vision for something unique, bold and editorial, but still timeless, and together we crafted this idea into something that truly exceeded expectations. From the styling to the setting to the way these two interact with each other, every detail came together in the most intentional way. It turned out even better than either of us could have imagined.

I’m beyond excited for Casey and Will and so honored I got to document this chapter for them. I cannot wait to celebrate alongside them at their wedding in 2027 — this time, as a guest 😉 — cheering them on as they step into forever together.
