We truly braved the freezing cold for Jochelle and Cole’s engagement session on a December morning at Marietta Square, and honestly, it was so worth it.
I’ll be photographing their wedding this September, and I’m already counting down the days to be part of their celebration. Since they’re getting married at Glover Park Brewery right in the square, it felt extra special to capture their engagement photos in the same place where their wedding story will continue! There’s something really meaningful about choosing a location that already plays a role in your day.

With the temperatures dipping well below cozy, a hot cup of coffee was an absolute must. We popped into Tuesdays (which is so cute) and grabbed a few warm, candid moments of them sitting and sipping coffee before heading back out into the square. Those little in-between moments always end up being some of my favorites.

One of the reasons I love shooting at Marietta Square is the versatility – you can bop around and find so many different backdrops within just a few steps. Brick walls, charming storefronts, cozy corners and open streets all make it easy to create a gallery that feels dynamic while still cohesive.

Even though we were definitely dreaming of warmer weather, Jochelle and Cole absolutely crushed this session. Their chemistry made the cold disappear, and I can already tell their wedding day is going to be so special. Counting down the days until September!
