From the very beginning, Elizabeth & Blake were nothing short of kind, joyful and just so beautifully in love. The kind of love that doesn’t need posing or prompting…it just is.

As they await the arrival of their first baby girl, sweet Briar, there was this quiet excitement and gentle anticipation between them. You could feel how deeply they already love her and how ready they are to step into this new chapter. 

Elizabeth had a vision for their shoot: she wanted it to be real, emotional and full of candid moments that captured their story just as it is right now. When she said that, I lit up, because that’s exactly what sets my creative soul on fire. Candid, connection-filled photography is my love language. The quiet hand squeezes, the wind-blown hair, the laughter that bubbles up out of nowhere; Those are the moments I live for.

We spent the evening running through golden fields and the sunset showed off for us. I even brought along my film camera to capture some of those dreamy, nostalgic frames. Film holds a very special place in my heart. There’s no retake or perfecting, just the moment as it is. And that’s what makes it so incredibly meaningful. Shooting a few rolls during their session felt like sealing their story into something timeless.
